The organizations listed on this page work to mobilize voters through local chapters and local partners. The organizations below are those that do not fit in one of these other pages.
Activate America
Activate America works to harness grassroots power to help Democrats retain and grow majorities in the House and Senate. By recruiting volunteers and providing them with opportunities for direct voter contact, Activate America built a network of tens of thousands of volunteers for 2020. Their network made more than 13 million registration and GOTV contacts.
ALL On The Line
ALL on the Line is focused on
fighting against gerrymandering and for fair redistricting maps after the 2020 census. To accomplish this, they train volunteers to testify at redistricting hearings, assign them to specific legislators as part of legislator accountability teams, and work with them to develop maps for communities of interest to present to mapmakers in the process.
All Voting is Local
All Voting is Local is a project of the
Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights. They are active in eight states where there are clear threats to the right to vote. They fight for policies and legislative
priorities to remove discriminatory barriers to voting and to ensure that all votes are counted.
American Civil Liberties Union
One of the nation’s foremost civil and human rights champions, the American Civil Liberties Union has been central in countless legal battles to protect voting rights. They have a
nationwide network of staffed offices in every state, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico.
America Votes
America Votes has worked for nearly 20 years to build a coalition of communities to act on critical progressive issues, including voting rights. Their organizers bring together state-based coalitions in
more than 20 states, including several key battlegrounds – Pennsylvania, Georgia and Michigan.
Common Cause
Among their several important pro-democracy activities, Common Cause works to engage their 1.5 million members and supporters, located in every state and each of the 435 congressional districts, in the democracy reform movement. Their overall goal is to make
voting and elections free, fair and accessible.
Faith in Action
Faith in Action is a pro-democracy, faith-based organization working with all denominations and faiths. Running through their many programs is a focus on
voting access
for people of color, those living in poverty, persons with disabilities and/or prior felony convictions.
Indivisible
Indivisible, started after the election in 2016, has grown to include thousands of locally led
groups in every congressional district. They offer an extensive searchable database of
activist events all over the country, and local groups can
register an event or meeting. They maintain an extensive database of
group leader resources, including resources on needs ranging from Action Planning to Fundraising & Grants to Tools & Software.
Just Democracy
A coalition of grassroots racial and social justice groups from across the country, Just Democracy
advocates for structural changes
to our democracy, focusing on voting rights for people of color. These changes include eliminating the filibuster, abolishing the electoral college, reforming the Supreme Court, and passing DC statehood.
League of Conservation Voters
For more than 50 years, the League of Conservation Voters has worked to turn out voters who support pro-environment candidates. They have grown into
a potent political force for protecting our planet and everyone who inhabits it. The League works to strengthen public policy while holding politicians accountable.
National Popular Vote
The
National Popular Vote Bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes nationwide. As of mid-2023, 16 states and the District of Columbia, with a total of 205 electoral votes, have enacted the law. It will take effect when enacted by states with 65 more electoral votes. Supporters are encouraged to
email their legislators and send a
Letter-to-the-Editor to newspapers in their state.
Our Revolution
A national grassroots movement of local groups that endorse and support progressive down ballot candidates. They have been
successful in helping elect state legislators, county board of supervisors, mayors, judges, school board members, district attorneys and utility board members in over 25 states during the 2020-2021 election cycle.
Progressive Democrats of America
Progressive Democrats of America is involved in Federal, State, and Local issue advocacy, as well as voter registration drives across the country. Their goal is to win progressive victories
by engaging with elected officials
and the Democratic party to participate in and support social movements. Chapters are in more than 30 states and Washington DC.
